Business Analyst

An IT role in industry which involves dealing with various internal business systems (SAP / Oracle etc). Thedse people must be good at working in teams and excellent communicators, as well as being technically expert.

The main purpose and objective of the Business Applications Specialist is to assist with the roll out of SAP and to provide day to day 1st and 2nd level support and advice to existing implementations. You will work closely with colleagues in operations and finance to ensure the smooth running of business processes on a day to day basis and to implement changes to enhance operational efficiency and meet changing business needs. Though based in the Fannin head office in Dublin you will spend time each week at other group locations in Ireland and the UK.

Responsibilities

• Third level qualification in IT (or related discipline)
• Minimum 10 years experience in an applications implementation and support environment
• Minimum 4 years implementation and support experience of some or all of the following SAP modules: SD, MM, WM, FI-CO, PP
• Excellent knowledge of the configuration and master data that supports these SAP modules
• Comprehensive knowledge in all aspects of IT, particularly in applications development and integration
• Self starter, ability to work on own initiative with limited day to day direction
• Proven problem solving skills
• Good communicator with ability to convey technical concepts to business users at all levels in the organisation
• Previous experience in a supply chain or logistics environment would be an advantage
• Customer facing experience
• Flexibility to travel to other group locations at least 3 days per week
• Previous experience or capability to work in a supervisory or management role
• Full driving licence
