One of the most important aspects of a Regulatory Affairs interview is background research on the company and department. It is essential to show this interest and enthusiasm, and this extends to asking relevant questions post-interview. Research can be done online, LinkedIn is an excellent resource. You might be able to find profiles of people who have worked or are working in the department / company, thus getting an idea of what the normally look for. There might even be an opportunity to contact that person directly - assuming they're not on the interview panel of course!

For Regulatory roles its good practice to research current legislation and market trends. Check relevant websites and be in a position to discuss some of the more important points. It is also worthwhile to look at the company's R&D pipeline as this can be an interesting conversation in an interview.

Enthusiasm is also essential when undertaking an interview - be very conscious that if you can convey enthusiasm to the panel this will reflect on you very positively and in a market where there is usually little differences between candidates, this enthusiasm can make all the difference. Don't act enthusiastic, be enthusiastic - build yourself up mentally in the days running up to the interview, convincing yourself that this is your dream job. It will show subconsciously in the interview.
